Tab Trade - The Short Version

 

 

TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

 

 

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.

 

 

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

 

 

Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.

 

 

The Software

 

 

Available: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

 

 

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.

 

 

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

 

 

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should round things out once it is live.

 

 

Costs

 

 

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

 

 

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

 

 

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.

 

 

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.

 

 

Infrastructure

 

 

The speed is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.

 

 

Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals what kind of broker this is.

 

 

Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

 

 

Safety

 

 

This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

 

 

That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.

 

 

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense is your call.
